Pastoral Care
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13.34–35)
The Clandon Churches are caring communities. Inspired by the love of the Lord Jesus, we seek to show that love in the way we care for each other. Whoever you are your church is here to support you.
Our pastoral team are happy to make home visits to those who who struggle to get to church or are in hospital, who would like to receive Holy Communion, prayers for healing, or just a visit.
If you need specific advice we also have several skilful, non-judgemental listeners, who can help you find appropriate support.
If you are looking for a small group to belong to where you can find friendship, prayer, and mutual support, why not think about joining one of our small groups?
There are situations when a professional counsellor can help us work through things that have happened in our lives and understand how they continue to effect us. Seeking help from a professional counsellor is not a sign of weakness. It takes courage and strength to reach out for help. Help from a professional counsellor can be an important way of helping us live life in its fulness that the Lord wants for us. There are many excellent counsellors who can help. If you are interested in a christian counsellor the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) provide an excellent service which we can highly recommend.
