Sundays at 9.15am
The Eucharist is at the heart of our worship. It is a time of great closeness to God in which we are physically nourished with God’s own life by receiving Christ’s body and blood in the bread and wine of Holy Communion.
Twice a month we have a service at 9.15am in the Church of St Thomas, East Clandon (also a 9.15am service when there are five Sundays in the month).
On the second Sunday of each month the Church of St Peter and St Paul join us for a service at 10.30am and on the fourth Sunday of the month we go to West Clandon.
Prayer Book Holy Communion
On the first Sunday of the month we have our Prayer Book Holy Communion service. This is one of the most traditional and beautiful services in the Church of England, using prayers which have been at the heart of Anglican spirituality for 500 years. The service lasts about 40 minutes and consists of Bible readings, a sermon, traditional prayers and a celebration of Holy Communion. There is no music at this service.
Sung Eucharist
Our Sunday Club for children aged 3–10 meets during the service and is a great opportunity for children to learn about the Christian faith in an age appropriate way while their parents enjoy participating in the main service.
After the service we cross the road to the village hall for refreshments.
Morning Worship
On the third Sunday of the month there is a service of morning worship, a friendly service with hymns, readings, prayers, and a sermon. There is no Holy Communion at this service.
