Christening (Baptism)
Baptism (or Christening as it is sometimes called) is how adults and children become part of the church. It is a sign of God’s unconditional love for us and marks the beginning of a life long journey of faith in which we commit to following Jesus.
We would love to talk to you about the baptism of your child!
We will invite you to meet with Barnaby (the parish priest) after a service one Sunday (or at another point which is convenient for you).
If you have an older child who would like to be baptised or if you are an adult who would like to explore baptism, we would also love to speak to you and help guide you on this important step of faith.
Baptisms can happen either in our main Sunday morning service where the local church congregation will be present to welcome you or your child into God’s family, or at a shorter service of baptism taking place after the main Sunday morning service, primarily for family and friends.
