Getting Involved
Our churches are what they are because of you. We couldn’t be the caring, welcoming communities we are without volunteers and without the financial support of members of the community. Your involvement in our churches allows us to do everything we do, including our Sunday and midweek services, pastoral care, work with children, youth, opportunities to learn and grow, and much more!
All this is possible because of your prayers, giving, and serving within the church. We are incredibly grateful for your support, whatever it may be. We couldn’t do it without you!
You can find details below about giving financially or volunteering with one of our teams.
Giving
We have two beautiful Norman churches which we work hard to maintain as inviting places, fit for purpose in the twenty-first century. But our churches are much more than beautiful buildings: they are houses of prayer where many people come to find peace in a hectic life. They are signs of God’s presence in our community, reminding all who see them that God is with them. They are also the principal resource of the church community in sharing the message of God’s love with our community.
However, keeping our churches going costs money. To do all that we do at the moment costs £100,000 per year, as well as a lot of generous volunteering! That is around £1,900 per week.
All this money is raised locally. Our churches receive no funding from the government or from Church of England’s central funds, and we don’t have huge endowments providing regular income. Our churches rely entirely on you, our supporters.
Our churches bring hope, peace and love to many in our communities. If you would like to be part of that, please consider supporting us financially. If you would like to make a regular commitment, please contact the church treasurer.
