We have been very encouraged by the increasing numbers of families attending Messy Church at the Clandons over the last couple of years, and we are delighted to tell you that,

from next month, we are going to be offering Messy Church every month! For all of 2018!

Messy Church involves creativity (exploring a biblical theme through craft and games, celebration (involving story, songs and prayers) and hospitality (sitting down for a meal together).  It’s all-age and fun and its main aim is to encourage families to come together to learn about Jesus and how to grow closer to him.

For consistency, we are going for the second Saturday afternoon of the month, 3.00 – 5:00pm, with the usual mix of craft, celebration (story, songs and prayers) and a meal for the whole family.  Venues will be confirmed as soon as possible but, in the meantime please make a note in your 2018 diaries for the following dates:

ALL DATES ARE SATURDAYS 3.00 – 5.00pm

February 10 – East Clandon Village Hall
March 10 – Poppy Room, West Clandon Royal British Legion
April 14 – East Clandon Village Hall
May 12 – Poppy Room, West Clandon Royal British Legion
June 9 – East Clandon Village Hall
July 14 – Summer Party and BBQ, Tanfield Cottage

We will endeavour to stick to these dates, but I’ll keep in touch with any changes and send reminders each month.

As we are expanding Messy Church in the Clandons it would be fantastic to enlist some extra helpers. If you or any member of your family would like to help plan sessions/prepare crafts/help on the day I would be really delighted to hear from you – please get in touch!  You can email Tessa Forbes at tessa@clandon-churches.org
